　　1.本篇是关于Manham港口的参观讲解。首先，导游讲Manham Port可以将其上千年的历史情况栩栩如生地呈现出来，即首句“Welcome to Manham Port, where a thousand years of history are brought to life.”其中“bring to life”意为“使栩栩如生”。

　　2.接着说游客们可以visit our copper mine (参观铜矿)、see models of the machinery it used(看过去使用的机器模型)、have your photo taken in nineteenth-century costume (穿上19世纪的服装拍照)、experience at first hand how people lived at different stages throughout history(直接体验不同历史阶段那里的人是如何生活的)。其中“at first hand”意为“直接地，手地”。

　　3.紧接着介绍了港口所在的位置，The port of Manham is located in beautiful and peaceful countryside, on a bend in the great River Avon(Manham港位于美丽而宁静的乡村，在壮阔的埃文河的一个河湾处)，其中“be located in”意为“位于，坐落于”。

　　4.大约在900年前，人们在附近发现了锡，这里就建成一个小规模的港口，原文对应“A small port was already established here when, about 900 years ago, tin was discovered nearby”。

　　5. 后来，“... by the end of the nineteenth century ,lead, copper, managenese and arsenic were added to the cargos leaving Manham”，其中“by the end of”意为“到……结束时;到……时为止”;“add to” 意为“加入”。
