I got my first cell phone about ten years ago. At that time, the smartphone was still a concept. Cellphone market was monopolized by Nokia, Motorola, and Samsung and Apple was still a company majoring in laptops. That year, I passed my college entrance exam and was going to Beijing to attend university. My father bought me a cell phone so that I could keep in touch with my family and follow the latest trend.

Then shopping on the internet was quite rare and it was almost impossible to find cellphone details on websites. In order to find my ideal cellphone, I carefully checked through all the shopping centers in my city and finally decided to buy a Samsung, which cost more than 3000 RMB. It was a bit expensive and I took a lot of effort to persuade my father to give me the money. It was a slide phone. You needed to slide up the screen to reveal the keyboard. 拿到手机我非常激动。个月里我无论去哪都带着，甚至上洗澡的时候也要将它带入卫生间。这一方面是因为我终于有了自己的手机，之前都只能羡慕的看着别人用它打电话或者发短信。另一方面是想着到大学之后我可以显摆给其他同学看。
