Your professor is discussing how high school education can be improved. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.
Your professor is discussing how high school education can be improved. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.

Dr. Lee
Hello class, today we're going to discuss different approaches to improving high school education. The government has proposed two plans and I would like to hear your thoughts
on them:
1.Plan A involves selecting a group of high-performing teachers and providing them with advanced training, which they can then share with other teachers at their respective schools.
2.Plan B entails providing all teachers with online training and resources, allowing them to learn and progress at their own pace. Which approach do you think would be more effective?
John
I prefer plan 2 because it provides training for every teacher and allows them to study individually. This way, each teacher can learn at their own pace and convenience. It's like
online courses for students, they can study whenever and wherever they want. For example, I learned a lot from an online course on programming, and I was able to complete it at my
own pace while working part-time.
Jane
I don't think Plan 2 is the best option. When teachers train together in person, they can ask questions, share ideas, and learn from each other's experiences. This creates a more
collaborative and supportive learning environment. Additionally, online training might not work as well for teachers who prefer hands-on or interactive learning, which could limit their
ability to learn effectively.
I strongly agree with Jane’s idea that plan 2 provides teachers with a more interactive and supportive learning environment than plan 1 does. I’d add that plan 1 encourages teachers,
especially those silent ones, to ponder over questions as well as rethink their teaching. In this way, all the attendees would be involved in a heated discussion about how to teach
effectively. John mentions that plan 2 allows teachers to learn at their own pace.
Nevertheless, one important factor, learning effectiveness, is not taken into account by him.
For example, although one inexperienced teacher can study according to his/her own convenience, he/she may find it difficult to digest some pedagogical theories without other
experienced teachers’ help. In this way, the effect of training cannot be guaranteed.
Based on the rubric, I would rate the following sample answer with a score of 4 out of 5.
There are a few grammatical errors in the answer, such as "this way" being used twice in the same sentence, which can make the writing seem repetitive. Additionally, there is a lack of
parallelism in the sentence "John mentions that plan 2 allows teachers to learn at their own pace," which could be improved for clarity.
