I believe we should play games in an attempt to win.

To begin with, the adult world is often very competitive for promotion at work, for the best seat on the subway, for the best house, for the best car, and so on. When students play sports with peers, they should play competitively, because this prepares them for the real world later on.

Further, just as life is competitive, in every sports there must be a winner and a loser. Students should play hard for the victory, but also be resolute in defeat and determine to win next time.
