2021年5月-8月雅思口语话题变题季part1:Flowers&Barbecue&Special costumes

话题1、Describe an occasion when you were not allowed to use your mobile phone

参考范文:"Last week, I went to a quiz night with some of my friends. It was an event that was being hosted by a club at our university, and was supposed to raise funds for an end of year party. Eager to help out, we went along.

The quiz night was held at a venue on campus. There were circular tables all around the room and a quiz master who asked questions and scored points up on a stage.

At the beginning of the night the quiz master told us that the main rule of the game was that mobile phones were not allowed to be used. This was because the organizers wanted to ensure that nobody cheated.

While I often feel a bit lost without my mobile phone, I definitely understood the rationale behind this rule. The game wouldn’t be fun unless it was fair, so it was essential that no teams got an advantage over the others. And in the end, I didn’t even miss having my phone available to me. Instead, I was able to enjoy the company of my friends without the distraction of constant phone notifications.

"

话题2、How do young and old people use mobile phones differently?

参考范文:Young people and old people must use mobile phones very differently in more than one aspect. For example, how often do they use a mobile phone? What do they use a mobile phone for? What kinds of mobile phones do they prefer? All of these vary with the age of the mobile phone users. The elderly people are mostly sending text messages and making phone calls using mobile phones, while mobile phones are a complex of communication, entertainment and digital assistance for the young. With a mobile phone, they can take photographs, keep daily agendas, send emails, play small games, watch videos, to name but a few.

话题3、What positive and negative impact do mobile phones have on friendship?

参考范文:One of the most obvious advantages is that we can contact our friends more conveniently by mobile phones, no matter where they are and when it is. This is especially helpful when we are separated by miles. By using mobile phones, friends can keep in touch. However, mobile phones also lead to a negative impact on friendship. For example, overusing mobile phones may reduce face-to-face communication among friends.

话题4、Is it a waste of time to take pictures with mobile phones?

参考范文:I don’t think it is a waste of time to do that. I am not a professional photographer. However, I do like clicking photos from my iPhone, either when I am travelling or at parties. For me, photos are a mere collection of the memories. I can take pictures with mobile phones everywhere. The pictures fill me with joy and remind me of the great time I had.

话题5、Do you think it is necessary to have laws on the use of mobile phones?

参考范文:I think laws on the use of mobile phones are not necessary, for it will occupy lots of resources. However, people should take the responsibility consciously to use mobile phones at the right time and place. For example, in public places, people should keep their voice down and do not interrupt others in any way. To be specific, some places, like theatres, doctors' consulting rooms and college lecture rooms are definitely not suitable for the use of mobile phones.
