The frenzied expansion of international fast food has sparked a debate about whether this type of food should be developed or not. I personally believe that the negative effects of this trend are more obvious than the positive ones.

Admittedly, sometimes, "Whatever is, is right." Socially, since people can eat foreign fast food in their own country, this means that the government allows people to conduct such business. The introduction of international fast food is not purely "alternative" to traditional diet. For example, a very famous fast food chain, considering Chinese people's preferences, launched acrayfish burger, widely popular. This is a good reflection of the fusion of domestic and foreigncuisines. At the same time, the development of fast food restaurants can create many jobs, which can drive economic development. With respect to the family, compared with the traditional diet, foreign fast food is more convenient, so that people can better enhance the efficiency of work and life.

However, the disadvantages of this cannot be ignored. First of all, "localization" can only be available to very few western fast foods, and some fast food chains expand at a great scale, which cramps the survival of the traditional cuisines, leading to the loss of traditional cooking culture. This is why A Bite of China has gained unstinting praise among people, because many of us do not know the richness of the traditional Chinese food, as people usually pay more attention to the fast one. Second, from a family perspective, although fast food is convenient, it is mostly a combination of high sugar, salt, oil and calorie diet. It can bring about diseases such as obesity and hypertension if people eat it as a regular diet. Besides, this might put a burden on the family's medical expenses, and, from a macro perspective, on the health care system of the whole society.
