　　It is the responsibility of schools to teach students good behavior in addition to providing formal education. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

　　The main function of schooling is to provide students with good education and train them to be useful members of the society. In my opinion, apart from basic knowledge and skills, teaching students good behavior is undoubtedly part of school's education.

　　When children start school, they are entering a wider community where they live and study with others from various backgrounds. They learn how to communicate with their classmates and teachers and how to contribute to the life of their community. In today’s society, children tend to be spoilt by their parents at home and many of them only care about their own feelings and interests, or have difficulty in interacting with other people. Therefore, schooling is particularly important in children's growth, which helps them integrate into their community and become responsible members of the society.

　　Well-educated people are expected to use their knowledge and skills to serve the society. In most schools and universities, besides academic subjects, moral education is set as a compulsory course in the curricula. This course teaches students the basic code of conduct and the ability to distinguish right from wrong. Without these, students may go astray when they are faced with various kinds of temptations before and after graduation. Those who do not obey social rules may become dangerous to the society, no matter how well they perform in their study and work.

　　Overall, school's education is not just about learning information and skills and obtaining the qualification. It also includes teaching children and young people to show good behavior and take their social responsibilities.
