1. Why is it good to discuss problems with other people?
参考答案1
I don t think it is. i know about the saying that says ' a problem shared is a problem halved, but I prefer to think that it's doubled So, if I have difficulties, I will keep them to myself and find a way to deal with it.
参考答案2
I think, certainly for me, that talking about my problems with my friends or family helps me figure out exactly what my problem is, and then help me find a solution to it Doing it on my own is often very time consuming and tiring.
2. Do you think that it's better to talk to friends and not family about problems?
参考答案1
Frankly, no. My parents are the people that raised me and they know me intrinsically They understand how I think, and know all my little idiosyncrasies and quirks. I feel able to tell them absolutely anything and everything without the fear of judgement Whereas, I think some of my friends may not completely understand my problems, and run rather than help me fight.
参考答案2
Yes,Ido. I think that my parents are sometimes too close to me and will not think about my issue objectively, which just doesnt help. My friends on the other hand, can,and often give me good advice. Thats not to say I never speak with my family about difficulties, it just depends what the problem is.
3. Is it always a good idea to tell lots of people about a problem?
参考答案1
Definitely not. Like i said earlier, problems grow, they don' t shrink. t I'n not going wo discuss problem with one person, I'll as sure as hell not going to discuss it with lots.
参考答案2
In my opinion, sometimes, but not always. It' s often quite a good thing when lots of people know you' re having trouble because they can give you lots of help and generate a wide range of ideas. However, if it is a private or very personal problem really don' t want any other than my close friends or family knowing about it.
4. Which communication skills are most important when taking part in meetings with colleagues?
参考答案1
I think probably the hardest, best, but a really easy thing to do, is listen. Many people just want to talk in meetings without listening to what others have to say My father al ways taught me that we have two ears and only one mouth for a reason.
参考答案2
For me, being able to talk in a logical and coherent manner is, by far, the most important skill needed when communicating with people, not only in a meeting but also just in general. If you cant speak in a coherent way, the other people may misunderstand your point, and just get lost in your words. A bit like here, I know that one of the things you measure is Coherence. Hopefully, I'm doing well in that!
5. What are the possible effects of poor written communication skills at work?
参考答案1
I think probably the most obvious effect would be that people, you know, his col leagues may not be able to understand them. This could also mean that promotions are not offered and they will be stuck in a dead-end job.
参考答案2
Written communication in a job is not just important,it' s vital. i think perhaps that worst outcome would be getting fired, you know, getting the sack; or at least being made redundant. Another effect may be just that you'll constantly have to repeat yourself to your colleagues and co-workers because they don, t understand your emails. Annoying, yes, fireworthy, maybe not.
6. What do you think will be the future impact of technology on communication in the workplace?
参考答案1
I think that social networking will have an even greater impact than it does now People will be able to interact at a company level in the same way that they do now on a personal level. I also think that in the education field, social learning is becom ing more prevalent and this will affect students like myself in a positive way.
参考答案2
That' s really not an easy question for me, as i don' t work, Im still a student. If I had to guess I'd suppose I could say that it will become even easier and faster to communicate. Maybe, instead of having a phone with a Bluetooth headset, we simpl have an implant and we can dial just by thinking about someone. That may be in the far future, but I've already heard about people implanting electronics into their bodies to get access to doors and even the subway.
