2016~2017学年起新增计算机科学原理科目加上现有的Computer ScienceA,AP计算机类将包含2门课程,“计算机科学原理”旨在鼓励更多的学生学习计算机科学与STEM(科学、技术、工程、数学)相关知识。该课程围绕计算机科学的主要理念展开(含编程)。

1Course Details
AP Computer Science Principles introduces you to the essential ideas of computer science with a focus on how computing can impact the world.
Along with the fundamentals of computing, you will learn to analyze data, information, or knowledge represented for computational use; create technology that has a practicalimpact; and gain a broader understanding of how computer science impacts peopleand society.

2About the Exam
The AP Computer Science Principles Assessment consists of two parts:
a through-course assessment and the end-of-course AP Exam.
Both of these parts will measure your achievement of the course learning objectives.
3Through-Course Assessment
For the through-course assessment, you will upload digital artifacts and writtenresponses via a Web-based digital application. You will describe or analyze your work, whether it includes research, the creation of an artifact (e.g., avideo, spreadsheet, graph, or electronic slide show), or the creation of a program.

The end-of-course AP Exam will be a paper and pencil written exam. It will be 100 minutes longand will include approximately 74 multiple-choice questions, presented as either discrete questions or in sets.
There are two types of multiple-choice questions
Single Select Multiple-Choice: you select 1 answer from among 4 options
Multiple Select Multiple-Choice: you select 2 answers from among 4 options
1.该课程为2016-2017学年度新增科目,目前还没有出版与考试相关的教材,请同学们关注亚马逊-巴郎或普林斯顿出版的教材。
2.约3章左右的内容是概念性的,另约一半的内容和数据结构、算法(问题的解决)、编程(代码实现)相关,但不会像AP CS-A一样具体到一门语言、具体到面对对象的操作。很可能和程序、算法相关的内容以伪码和框图的形式出现。
3.更加注重一些计算机学科的基础知识,比如数据在底层存储的形态、进制是如何转换的、编码原理、多媒体、网络知识等等。
4.以更清晰、简洁的形式,体现了代码的构成和实现。
5.对于大部分理科、工科(甚至部分艺术类多媒体)方向的同学来说,"计算机科学原理"非常适合作为计算机学科的基础入门级课程。或者说它是面对对象程序设计语言的先导课程。
6.计算机科学原理和AP CS A的差异以及难度比较
前者比较注重概念性的知识点以及为初识该学科的同学建立一个基本的框架观,其涉及面较广。后者更加注重面对对象的知识、更注重代码在继承、多态、以及数据结构、算法上的具体实现。AP CS A被更多的认为是学习一门计算机语言(面对对象程序设计—Java)、以及初级数据结构和算法的课程。而计算机科学原理包含的内容则更加广泛,其主旨是让学生了解计算机学科的一般性原理,而对每部分内容不做深入的探讨。
