11月1日托福独立写作

Nowadays, there are many kinds of news stories on newspaper for people to read or listen to. It is helpful for people if they take a break from reading or listening to the news. As a result, they should stop reading or listening to the news for a few days or a week. Do you think it is beneficial for people to stop reading or listening to the news for a period or of a few days or a week? Why or why not?

Introduction

Today, the Internet and portable browsing grant us easy access tounprecedented amounts of information especially on news media. Despite their merits in conveying updated message, the reading should have a break.

Ø 观点句用让步句的形式引出来

Body

No one would deny the advantage of booming news in that it brings people a way to get in touch with the world. That’s why the saying is soprevalent that if you want to know something thoroughly, just read some news. Assisted by online mode, journalism revives and redevelops with a wider coverage including traditional topics like civil issues, economic fields or politics and brand-new parts such as pop-influencers or handbook for daily chores. Our life does improve a lot by successive reports; however, it is the continuity of news that impedes its readers as well.

Ø 先用让步段进行驳斥

Obviously, the more we are informed, the less we can know the truth. The prosperous media industry has devoted a lot to fully expose the whole story even for daily trifles and thus saturate the information with useless and misleading patterns. It is always the case that the core story is hided behind countless unrelated issues.【说理论证】 What can be seen easily is the report for some serial killers who are supposed to be condemned. At the beginning, the crime and the culprit may be revealed to raise people’s attention and alert. However, some journalists may deliberately report the pathetic childhood of those criminals even in an unstopped series. The following nonsense not only conceals the cruel facts, but also modifies the sin, which will definitely misguide readers let alone clarifying the fact.【举例论证:具体例子】Therefore, a short break sounds reasonable.

Ø 论点之一:从新闻角度进行论述

Also, unremittingly reading news shrinks our time for reflection. Being surrounded by information ranging from domestic to global section, people have no choice but to embrace them constantly. This really leads to thevicious cycle that we keep reading and listening without any time forpondering what is the essence of perceiving. For example, during the election season, if tracking an ordinary person’s life, you will find that he keeps reading news of those candidates’ scandals the whole day, or at least half of the day, and the rest time of him is to laugh at those gossips.【举例论证:抽象例子】Never a minute can be spared for thinking which one he should vote for due to the overwhelming news. This is only a case in one aspect of life and many are trapped in the same problem.

Ø 论点之二:对读者角度进行思考

Ending

All in all, news is like a coin having two sides. When reading the information, people should and must have a gap between theexcessive news.

Ø 可以套路一下了,先用套话再重申观点
