美国对SAT2的要求
普林斯顿大学
Required Tests
When applying for admission to Princeton, you must submit official scores for either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT. All applicants must also take three SAT Subject Tests.
If you intend to study engineering (B.S.E.), your three SAT Subject Tests should include one test in either physics or chemistry, one test in either Level I or Level II mathematics and a third subject test of your choice.
If you choose to take more than three subject tests, we will consider all your scores, giving the greatest weight to your three strongest scores.
哈佛大学
Testing Requirements
Applicants must submit the results of the SAT I or ACT with writing and three SAT II subject tests even if they are submitting the results of their school leaving exams. The January administration is the final testing date for candidates.
Applicants must designate Harvard as a recipient of their test scores. Testing agencies will not release results directly to the Admissions Office unelss an applicant does so. The SAT code number is 3434; the ACT code number is 1840.
Students who do not have access to a testing center in their country are the ONLY applicants who are exempt from theses standard tests.
English Language Proficiency
A strong knowledge of English is essential for successful study at Harvard, including the ability to understand and express thoughts quickly and clearly. We require the results of the SAT I and three SAT II Subject Tests for all candidates. The SAT II English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) is not acceptable for this purpose. Students are not required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Test (IELTS) but we welcome the submission of your score if you have taken either. While students can choose any three SAT subject tests, applicants whose native lanugage is not English should not take any of their three SAT II tests in their native language.
耶鲁大学
The Yale College application procedures and timetable are essentially the same for international students as candidates applying from schools in the United States. Either the SAT I and two SAT II Subject Tests, or the ACT, are required, with only two exceptions. Students whose home countries (e.g., mainland China) do not have a testing center are exempt. In addition, students enrolled in A-level programs may use completed A-level results as a substitute for the SAT II Subject Tests on a one-for-one basis provided official test results arrive at Yale by February of the application year. No other substitutions are acceptable.
斯坦福大学
Testing Requirements
The ACT with Writing or the SAT Reasoning Test is required of all undergraduate applicants. Please be aware of the following guidelines:
We do not accept test substitutions and applications without SAT Reasoning or ACT with Writing scores will not be considered, except for students from countries where these tests are not offered (e.g., the People's Republic of China, Iran).
If you are currently residing or attending school in a country where the ACT with Writing or the SAT Reasoning Test is offered, you are required to take either test and submit official test results to Stanford by the stated application deadlines.
SAT Subject Tests are recommended but not required for admission. We recommend taking at least two SAT Subject Tests, as such information will assist us in our evaluation process. Applicants, however, who choose not to take SAT Subject Tests will not be at a disadvantage in the admission process.
For those applicants who elect to take a SAT Subject Test in the area of math, we recommend taking Mathematics Level 2 if you feel that your math background has adequately prepared you for that test.
Applicants must submit scores from all SAT tests (including Subject Tests) taken or all ACT tests taken. Applicants cannot elect to "hide" any scores with either testing agency.
We will focus our evaluation of test scores on the highest scores available (from either test). For the SAT, we will focus on the highest Critical Reasoning score, highest Math score and highest Writing score available (from across test sittings). For the ACT, we will focus on the highest Composite score (with the Writing) and be sensitive to individual sub-scores.
We recommend students make arrangements to take the required tests well in advance of our application deadlines. It is unlikely that scores from tests taken after our deadlines will arrive in our office in time for our review process. We will certainly review any scores we receive (even if they arrive after the deadline) but we cannot promise to delay the review of an application in anticipation of scores that will arrive at a later date.
加利福尼亚理工学院
Testing Requirements:
SAT: Critical Reading, Math, and Writing OR
ACT: (with or without the optional writing section) AND
SAT Subject Tests: Mathematics Level 2 and one of the following Subject Tests: Biology (Ecological), Biology (Molecular), Chemistry, or Physics
If your native language is not English, and you have not studied for at least two years in an English-speaking country, we encourage (but don't require) you to take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). All versions of the TOEFL are acceptable.
宾夕法尼亚大学
The University of Pennsylvania requires that all freshman applicants take the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests, or the ACT with writing. These examinations are given throughout the world several times a year. Credentials earned within your educational system cannot be substituted for these examinations.
麻省理工学院
Testing Requirements
Non-native English speakers have two options, which we consider equivalent. We have no preference between these options. It is your choice, and you should take the set of tests with which you feel the most comfortable:
Option 1: SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Plus Writing; and two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).
Option 2: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language); and two SAT Subject Tests, one in math (level 1 or 2) and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m). This option is especially recommended for students who do not speak English at home or in school, or who have been speaking English for fewer than five years.
Native English speakers must take either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Plus Writing; and two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).
All students must meet the testing requirements. You may not substitute other exams (such as IB, A Levels, etc.) for the above testing requirements. Students from countries where the SAT and ACT are not offered (such as Iran and the People's Republic of China) will be considered without a full set of required test scores on a case-by-case basis.
杜克大学
Testing Requirements
All candidates for admission must complete either the College Board Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the test of the American College Program (ACT). Applicants taking the SAT should take the three-part SAT Reasoning Test plus two SAT Subject Tests. Applicants to the Pratt School of Engineering must take one SAT Subject Test in mathematics. Applicants who choose to take the ACT should plan to take the ACT with the new writing portion.
TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL)
All candidates whose native language is not English are encouraged, but not required, to sit for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). A minimum score of 100 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT)—or 250 on the computer-based TOEFL (CBT) or 600 on the paper-based TOEFL (PBT)—or an overall band score of 7 on the IELTS is expected for all applicants to Duke. The English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) cannot replace the TOEFL. We will use all the test information that you send to us with your writing samples in the application to evaluate your proficiency in English. If you take tests more than once, we will use your highest scores.
哥伦比亚大学
Required Standardized Testing
Standardized tests are required for admission according to the following guidelines; all test scores must be submitted directly to Columbia by the testing agency.
The SAT Reasoning test consists of three sections, each graded on an 800-point scale; if you take the test more than once, you will be evaluated on the highest score you receive in any individual section.
You may alternatively take the ACT Assessment, graded on a 36-point scale; if you take the test more than once, you will be evaluated on the highest composite score you receive. The writing component offered by the ACT Assessment is mandatory for candidates for Columbia.
In addition to either A or B above, you must also take two SAT Subject Tests. For Columbia College, you may take any two; for Columbia Engineering, you must take any mathematics test and either Physics or Chemistry.
Additional Requirements: If you attend a school that does not give out conventional grades or if you are home-schooled, you must take two additional SAT Subject Tests in addition to all requirements outlined above.
Non-native speakers should refer to the Testing section of Frequently Asked Questions for our policy on English proficiency testing.
芝加哥大学
Test Scores
Have official SAT Reasoning or ACT scores sent to the University of Chicago from the testing agency, even if your scores appear on your transcript. We do not require any SAT Subject Tests. Our SAT code is 1832; the ACT code is 1152. All testing must be completed prior to the application deadline. There is no need to arrange for rush delivery of your scores.
If you choose to submit ACT scores, we do not require the optional essay component. We do not use the writing section of the SAT in our admission process. We will use the sections of the SAT Reasoning test with the highest scores when evaluating applications, along with the highest ACT composite score.
Applicants who live in countries that do not offer the SAT or ACT, including China, do not have to submit these test scores to complete their application.
An English Language Proficiency Test
Competence in English must be demonstrated in order to qualify for admission. All international applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Our TOEFL and College Board code is 1832. If you are taking the IELTS, request the scores to be sent to the admissions office. Reports of other tests are usually not accepted. Please visit the TOEFL and IELTS Web sites for more information.
The University of Chicago only admits students who have demonstrated a superior level of English language competence: 600 or higher on the old Paper Based TOEFL, 250 or higher on Computer Based TOEFL, or 104 or higher on the new Internet Based TOEFL. Minimum required scores in the IELTS are an overall score of 7, with sub scores of 7 each.
达特茅斯学院
Standardized Testing
All applicants to Dartmouth are required to submit either the SAT 1 examination administered by the College Board or the ACT (with writing) offered by?ACT, Inc. In addition, applicants must submit the results from any two SAT II subject examinations. Dartmouth has no minimum test score required for admission, nor a maximum above which admission is guaranteed. The Admissions Committee does not apply a formulaic approach to determine the value of testing results for all applicants but instead incorporates an individual's test scores into a broad consideration of the candidacy for admission.
If standardized testing is repeated, the Admissions Committee considers the highest components from the SAT 1, even if these results are from different test administration dates.
For the ACT, the Committee considers the highest composite score and does not combine sub-scores from multiple test administrations.
If an applicant submits more than two SAT 2 Subject examinations, the Committee will use the two highest scores submitted.
康乃尔大学
SAT - All freshman applicants to Cornell are required to submit official results of either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT with Writing. Requirements for SAT II Subject Tests vary according to the college at Cornell to which you apply. See the college-specific testing requirements found in the Freshman Application Instructions on the admissions web site at admissions.cornell.edu/apply. In order to be official, reports of test scores must be submitted directly to Cornell from the testing agency. Please note that standardized tests (SAT, ACT, and SAT IIs) are not required for transfer applicants.
