  雅思阅读之Airbnb成功的秘诀


  Airbnb源起两位联合创始人Brian Chesky和Joe Gebbia的资金短缺。因为没有钱付房租,他们尝试在行业会议期间将空间出租给那些没能订上酒店的人,并且提供简单的早餐。这也是Airbnb名称的由来:客厅的空气床垫(Airbed)+早餐(Breakfast)。


  Airbnb origin two co-founder Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia fund shortage. Because there is no money to pay the rent, they try to be space for those failed to book the hotel people in the industry during the meeting, and to provide a simple breakfast. This is the origin of the Airbnb Name: air mattress living room (Airbed) + breakfast (Breakfast)。


  哈佛大学毕业的Nathan于2008年2月正式加入,并且成为了第三位联合创始人。2008年8月,Airbnb开始试运行。


  Graduated from Harvard University in 2008 formally joined the Nathan in February, and became the third co-founder. In 2008 August, Airbnb began trial operation.


  关于Airbnb成立初期有很多有意思的小故事,比如他们三位联合创始人曾经为了筹钱而去推销麦片。在差不多2个月的时间里他们筹到了3万美元,并且引起了美国孵化机构Y Combinator创始人Paul Graham的注意,得以进入Y Combinator接受孵化。


  There are many little stories interesting about Airbnb at the beginning of the establishment, such as their three co-founder once in order to raise money to sell cereal. In about 2 months they raised $30000, and caused a America Incubation Mechanism Y Combinator founder Paul Graham's attention, to enter the Y Combinator to accept the hatching.


  正是Y Combinator的孵化让Airbnb确定了发展方向,并且踏上了快速发展的轨道。现在Airbnb和Dropbox这两家公司已经成为了Y Combinator最成功的案例,估值都在百亿美元左右。


  It is Y Combinator Airbnb incubation to determine the development direction, and embarked on a rapid development track. Now Airbnb and Dropbox the two companies have become the most successful example of Y Combinator, are valued at about $10 billion.


  1、非常愿意倾听用户的声音。在Y Combinator孵化的时候,三位联合创始人就去纽约(当时Airbnb的市场)和出租空间的人见面,了解他们的想法,从而改进产品和服务。

  2、建立起公司和用户之间、房东和租客之间的信任。为了建立公司和用户之间的信任,Airbnb经常举办现在聚会,向用户介绍公司的理念和想法,从而赢得用户的支持。为了建立房东和租客之间的信任,Airbnb在很多细节上都下了大功夫。

  Nathan表示,很多信任并不是靠一点就能建立起来的。房东和租客直接的信任是通过社交网络、照片、评论以及Airbnb的担保建立起来的。比如照片这一项,Airbnb发现房东发布照片的质量对吸引租客有很大的影响,于是他们免费提供摄影师上门拍照的服务,目前Airbnb在全球已经有超过2000名签约摄影师。


  Nathan said, a lot of trust and not rely on a point can be built. The landlord and tenant direct trust is established through social networks, photo, comment and Airbnb security. For example, photos of the A, Airbnb found that the landlord issued photo quality has very big effect to attract tenants, so they provide free door-to-door service photographer photographs, Airbnb currently in the world has more than 2000 photographers.
