The table and pie charts illustrate changes in the figures for domestic and international students studying in Australian universities for the year 2001 and 2009.

概述段:

Overall, the 9-year period witnessed a significant rise in the total number of Australian university students. Also, there were more local students than foreign students in both years.

Body 1:表格信息描述

Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that the total number of university students in Australia witnessed a noticeable rise from 33000 in 2001 to 39000 in 2009. More specifically, in the initial year, there were 28300 local students, which was almost 7 times the figure for their non-local counterparts. Afterwards, there emerged a significant decline in the figure for domestic students to 27300 in 2009, while the number of international students more than doubled to 11700.

【思路要点】:

- Australian university 总人数从33000显著上升到39000.

- local总数从2001年的28300下降到 2009年的27300,占比下降了16%。

- 对比而言,non-local总人数翻了2倍多,到2009年达到11700。

Body2:饼图--local students

From the first pie chart, it is manifest that in the original year, 86% of all the college students were local ones, 46% of whom were females. Subsequently, the figure for female local students only dropped slightly by 6% in the following 8 years, where as a noticeable drop could be found in the percentage of males from 40% to 30%.

【思路要点】:

- 2001年local占比86%,46%是female。

- female轻微下降了6%,但males从40%显著下降到30%。

Body 3:饼图--non-local students

As for international students, there were 14% of all the students who came from abroad in the year 2001, consisting of 9% males and 5% females. After 8 years, there were almost no changes to the former figure. However, the proportion of non-local females was on a sharp climb, reaching 20% in 2009. As a result, females outnumbered their male counterparts in the end of the given period.

【思路要点】:

- 2001年non-local占比14%,包含9%的males和5%的females

- 2009年,male占比几乎不变。但是,female占比急剧上涨到20%

- female在这一年占比反超male
