It is a well-known fact that people nowadays are overwhelmed by the information about the glamourous and wealthy lives of the celebrities instead of their achievements. I personally believe that it will result in negative effects on young people.

On the one hand, the intentional promotion of the charm and wealth of celebrities may create a perception of "reap without sowing". In the past, it was celebrities’ outstanding achievements that made them famous in their respective fields, which were then appreciated by the public. Nowadays, however, although many people have gained their popularity, they still heavily rely on their so-called skin-beauty and lavish lifestyles rather than the achievements, due to the fact that the former one is easier to draw public’s attention, which makes young people firmly believe that they can gain fortune and fame without hardworking. Consequently, they may live in vanity but end up with nothing but void and regret.

On the other hand, this phenomenon also leads young people to financial burden. Those people lack self-control, while they are skilled at imitating. Hence, they may spend time to know more about the sumptuous life of celebrities, and will imitate some of their behaviors and consumption habits. All these can cause a great cost of personal energy and a heavy economic pressure. For example, some young people even take out loans to follow the celebrities' ways of dressing regardless of their economic status, which will eventually make their normal life unsustainable.

In conclusion, young people are easily susceptible to the superficial beauty and wealth the celebrities show to the public, which calls for the guidance to rectify this cognition.
