Personally speaking, I won’t take much notice of the sky unless I am in a good mood and the weather is lovely, which can’t be seen frequently in some cities in China nowadays. People all know that mega cities in China, like Beijing, have been suffering from heavy air pollution for several years now. We haven’t been able to enjoy blue skies these years.

I can recall a miserable experience. Last summer, when I was at the airport in Beijing with my friends and was about to leave for Thailand, the day got dark and suddenly it started raining. Actually, it was pouring and it didn’t seem to want to stop. The sky was overcast, which made me feel so down. After a while, we heard an announcement that the flight was going to be delayed. What a shock!

I felt so disappointed and frustrated, standing by the window at the terminal without any ideas to cope with the unexpected situation. I was staring at the sky, hoping the day could turn out better. Obviously, my trip didn’t go to plan. The sky was dismal with black clouds, and we could even see the lightning and hear the thunder. Frankly speaking, it was really a dreadful experience and I hope will be more pleasant next time.
