1.剑桥雅思16Test4口语part2参考范文
Describe some technology ( e.g. an app, phone, software program) that you decided to stop
using.
You should say:
when and where you got this technology
why you started using this technology
why you decided to stop using it
and explain how you feel about the decision you made.
参考范文 1 The electronic equipment that Td like to describe fbr you today, that I don't use anymore, is my old iPhone. I bought it several years ago; it was an iPhone 8, which gives you an idea of its age. It was a present from my mother for my 18th birthday, and we both thought that it would be good to use for my university studies as I'd just managed to get into PKU.
I was over the moon ( 欣喜若狂) when she first gave it to me, and I charged it up and started downloading all the apps I need almost immediately. WeChat, Weibo,
some dictionaries, and lots of other software. I loved it, everything about it; it was fantastic ... until it wasn't.
It was when I first hooked it up to my Windows laptop, I think, that I first started getting disillusioned with it. I had to download and install iTunes, and
that's where the problems began. All I wanted to do was transfer a video from my computer to my phone and then watch it. The format was mp4, a normal, very common format that can be used on a variety of devices, but not, it seems, on an iPhone.I was told that the file should be in .mov format, which is the Apple proprietary file. I managed to convert it in the end, but it was an enormous hassle (麻烦),and I really didn't want to have to go through this process for every file, so I decided to bin
it. Actually, I swapped it with my Dad for his Android phone.
I was a little upset at first because it was a birthday present after all, but I just couldn't put up with it. Once I had used the Android phone for a while, I realised
that it was far superior to the Apple. Ive had either Huawei or Samsung phones ever since.
参考范文 2 I'm going to tell you about a smartphone app that I decided to stop using called Yinke. I downloaded this app a few years ago and started doing little broadcasts on it every other day with some of my high school friends. It was, well actually still is, a social media app by which you can either create videos or do live streams ( 现场直
播)to connect to an audience.
We must have done about 20 or 30 different videos over a few months trying to get a following, thinking that it would be easy. Surprisingly, it turned out to be
quite difficult. Ifs not that it was hard making videos; it was more that it took up too much time. We had to find free time between our classes and homework and then figure out what we were going to do for that da% then record it, sometimes more than once if we made a mistake, and then do all the editing.
We stopped mainly because we went to different universities, and I didn't want to continue on my own. Also, there was a significant drop-off in usage when DouYin
came onto the market. Pve played with doing some videos on that platform, and I've had some success, but I'd really rather do it with a small group rather than as an
individual.
I felt a little sad when I stopped using the app, not because of the app itselfi more that my friends and I were now moving in different directions. When we stopped doing the videos, we also stopped spending as much time with each other.
