题目：Some people say History is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that, in today’s world, subjects like Science and Technology are more important than History. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.

High education affords many people an approach to improve skills and expand knowledge.One topic of discussion is whether we should learn more knowledge about science and technology than history.As far as I am concerned,both history and scientific technology are of great significance in modern society, I think those people are near-sighted.

Admittedly, science is essential in a country’s development, since it determines the strength of national defense and the potential of economic progress. As a result, people educated in the scientific field are highly required by the society, and that justifies the notion that scientific education should be put emphasis on in the school.

However, that is not to say that science and technology is more important than history.History helps young people understand their own culture and how their culture and country have evolved. To illustrate,history teaches people what their forefathers experienced and suffered in the past in order to make their country what it is today.Besides,history teaches us about travesties which have occurred in the past,such as the Holocaust.It is essential for both people in the past,present and future to never forget such events in order to honour the memory of those lost and to ensure it never happens again.It is true that learning about the past often gives a glimpse of the future.It shows a path of development that will continue past the present and into the future.

In conclusion,it is not only science and technology that play an influential role in a school’s education, and therefore it is suggested that people put equal emphasis in those school subjects for the sake of country’s development.
