　　Ten years ago, I would never expect to spend a year abroad in the U.S. as an exchange student, living with the local family attending public school, and experiencing the life of being an American teenager. One of the most unexpected experiences was my independent graduation trip to California with my friends. We took a flight from Chicago to San Francisco, walked through the beaches with bare foot in the freezing water, enjoyed the sunshine and breeze, took photos with the Golden gate Bridge, drove to the University of California Berkeley and finally went north towards LA— spending 3 days in fancy Disneyland. I booked all the tickets and hotels, rented the car, and did researches on special scenery and food places that we shouldn't miss along the road. When I was really young, I never expected myself to be so mature and responsible at the age of 17.

　　You live in a crowded city with only one green space-the city park. The government recently proposes to build a housing complex on this only green space. Do you think this is a good idea?

　　This is definitely not a good idea from my point of view. Firstly, green space inside of a city is for people to have family time, relax, and enjoy lives. If the only green spot was taken away by the government, imagine this: where should people bring their dogs to hang out with dog friends on Saturday? Where should a family reunion picnic take place? And where can the next generation of our city see little animals like rabbits and squirrels running freely in the open area? Secondly, I deem that it is always easier to tore down a piece of green space than to rebuild it one day later. The government shouldn't be obsessed with the small amount of profits they could earn from this land right now without considering the future ecology benefits.
